 System Requirement 1. Operating System : Mac OS X v10.x 2. Memory : 128 Mbytes 3. Disk Space : 20 Mbytes 4. Network Protocol : TCP/IP (Http/Https) 5. Additional Requirement: 6. Apple Java2 Standard Edition 1.3.x or above must be installed already  Mac OS X Client 1. Download the setup file above 2. Expand the archive and run the installation wizard [FingerprintBackup.com] within the archive 3. Follow the instructions on the installation wizard to complete installation 4. Restart your Mac. Double click the desktop FingerprintBackup icon to start. 5. The backup server host name (FingerprintBackup.net:8088). Press the [Next] button. 6. If you don't have a backup account, select [Trial Registration] and press the [Next] button a. Enter the [Login Name] and [Password] of your choice b. Enter your [Email address] in the text field provided c. Press the [Submit] button d. You should be logged to the backup server already (if the [Login Name] of your choice is already taken by another user, try a different login name) 7. If you have a backup account already, select [User Logon] and logon to the server with your existing username and password. 8. If this is the first time you logon to the server, you will be guided to setup a backup set a. Enter a backup set name of your choice in the [Name] field b. Select the files that you want to backup c. Setup the backup schedule by pressing the [Properties] button (please note that you can add multiple backup schedules to a backup set) d. Setup the encryption setting for your backup set (if you don't know much about encryption, just accept the default values here) e. Press the [Finish] button 9. Scheduled backup will run automatically if you leave your computer on. |
